So as promised here is a small review on Rimmel's Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation!
My first thing that I wanted to check out with this foundation was whether the the coverage was as good as I have heard, and yes it is! The coverage is amazing, it hides any blemishes on your face without looking too cakey.
I found that it blends really well with my skin tone and so looks really natural, it also feels really light on your face when you put it on. You do forget that you have it on after a while.
It is really buildable so if you need an even fuller coverage that's also an option and it still looks natural.
I would say that it is very similar to MAC's Pro Longwear foundation which is, in fact a personal favourite of mine, although this does feel lighter on your skin than the Pro Longwear. And from MAC's price of £25 to Rimmel's price of £7.99 it really is a bargain.
To apply the foundation I used a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and just applied in circular motions, starting from the inside of my face and blending to the outside. On a normal day I would apply a bit of translucent powder on top just to make sure it definetally stays on all day. I would apply this powder with a Sigma F30 - Large Powder brush in the same motions as my foundation but dabbing it instead of brushing over any spots or imperfections.
In this photo I am wearing the shade 100-Ivory I am not wearing any other base makeup but I do have Benefit's They're Real mascara, Soap and Glory's Snoulder Khol waterproof eyeliner and Collection's Work the Colour eyebrow kit just to make me look less of a ghost as I was about to head out to a dance rehearsal. During the rehearsal I didn't reapply the foundation at all and by the end of two and a half hours of dance I didn't find that it had faded a massif amount or had worn off. This shows that it does stay on well and is really wearable for more active days to still look flawless even if your extremely active.
